Hello again everyone.

First of all, I’d like to reveal our brand new online shop for miniature toys and dolls.

It has been a ‘work in progress’ since last December but it now finally up and running.  We’ll be adding to it over the coming months, with lots of new toys, projects and features, so do please add the site to your favourites and check back often for new stuff.  You can also subscribe to a newsletter, which will be a regular feature.

 The first 25 dollclub members to subscribe to the newsletter will receive a special discount coupon, valid against their first purchase on the site!

This sweet little girl uses one of my very favourite moulds.  She has a lovely gentle expression and very finely detailed features..... her name is Emily 

She wears cotton underwear, trimmed with lace, over silk knit stockings.  On her feet are silk shoes to match her dress, with straps and leather soles.

Her dress is lined and has long sleeves with lace and ribbon trimmed cuffs and a pretty yoked collar, decorated with lace, braid and silk ribbon shoulder bows. Her hair is pulled back from her face and tied in a silk ribbon bow, with soft curls cascading down her back.

The pack will contain everything needed to complete your doll from underwear to wig, including a full set of photo-illustrated instructions and patterns.

This is a very adaptable pattern which can be used in different ways for different styles of girl’s costumes, such as school pinafore etc.

Dollclub members who register for this pack will be able to choose from the following options for the dress:

(a)    Miniprint cotton (we have a variety of floral prints in various colours – if you choose this option we will select a print for you, although you may indicate a first and second choice colour)

(b)    Plain silk (we have dozens of colours available so let us know which you would prefer).

The cost will be £25 plus P&P.  We will email individual members when their packs are ready to despatch and to arrange payment. We hope to have them ready by mid May.

As before, we will have a limited number of these packs available on a first come, first served basis.

Lots of miniature club members stopped to say hello at Miniatura, and to ask if we did club workshops. The answer is yes, but it depends where the club is situated.  Having had many enquiries from as far afield as USA, France & Scotland, it set us thinking, and what we’ve come up with is this....  

Complete club workshop packs with DVD tutorial disk.

We can organise workshops of varying length and degrees of difficulty (or simplicity!) and various costs.

Choose your workshop length

• 2 hours – suitable for an evening

• 4 hours – half day, morning or afternoon

• 8 hours – full day

• Extended project over several sessions

We can create tailor made workshops for your members, and provide everything they need to successfully complete their chosen miniature project.

Packs will include:

DVD tutorial disk playable on portable DVD player or laptop.

Individual member’s packs with all materials, patterns and instructions.

Organiser’s hints and tips

Spares kit with extra bits and pieces!

I have 20 year’s experience of organising and running club workshops for all skill levels so I am sure to have a workshop to suit.

• Personal accessories

• Hundreds (literally!) of different dressed doll options from mediaeval to 1940’s

• Miniature toys & games

If your project is to be split over a number of sessions, we will give suggestions as to time management and what should be achieved in each session.

Email/telephone support, before, during and after the sessions, for any questions or problems which arise.
